Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information The Field Scribe handles when you use the service, why it is handled, and the choices you control.

Birth details. The date, time and place of birth you enter are used to calculate your Reading. They may be retained with a Reading so it can be shown to you again and kept in your account.

Account information. If you create an account, we store information needed to identify and authenticate that account, such as your email address and authentication record. If you use a supported sign-in provider, we receive the account information that provider supplies for authentication.

Purchases and Membership. We keep records needed to fulfil purchases and Membership, including which Reading or account a transaction or grant belongs to, its status and applicable billing information. Card details are handled by the payment provider rather than stored by The Field Scribe.

Practice, Returns and feedback. When you deliberately save Practice, write a Return, submit feedback or otherwise deliberately provide material through an interactive feature, that material may be processed or stored as described below.

Preferences and acknowledgements. We store choices such as Email Updates, Help shape The Field Scribe and acknowledgement of published Terms and Privacy documents, together with applicable wording versions and timestamps.

Your saved Reading and Practice are private account content. They are not made available to other readers, and The Field Scribe's founder, administrators and developers do not browse them to observe how you use the service.

The Field Scribe founder, administrators and developers do not routinely open or browse individual Readings or Practice entries as part of ordinary administration, development, analytics or product observation.

Narrow authorized access may occur when needed to respond to support you requested, investigate a specific technical or security problem, comply with a legal obligation, protect the integrity of the service, or review material you deliberately submitted through a designated feedback, research or evaluation experience.

This distinction is important: technical ability to administer the service is not permission to use private account material as an observation feed.

Words you submit to an interactive Practice feature may be processed in order to produce that Practice response.

Typing, viewing or generating something in Practice does not automatically add it to Saved Practice.

Saved Practice is created through an explicit Save or Keep action.

When you choose to save something, the saved snapshot may include your writing and the relevant Practice context needed to let you return to that moment later.

Saved Practice remains associated with your account until you remove it or your account is removed under the service's deletion process.

Saved Practice is not an administrative diary or activity feed for observing individual readers.

If you choose to continue from the Sinkrónos Almanac into The Field Scribe, the Almanac sends the Recognition you selected together with contextual information about that Almanac moment, including its source date and time zone, condition identifiers and the Daily Reading that was shown with it.

That context records where you arrived from. It is not used to locate your situation in your Field and is not an input to Practice grounding, hallway selection, Practice Edge, movement generation, Field Scroll recurrence or Practice Return interpretation. Field Scribe begins those processes from the words you provide here.

The handoff itself expires after seven days so it can survive sign-in and be claimed by one account and one eligible Reading during that window. Expired handoffs are cleaned up through a bounded server process. The raw handoff token is not stored in the database.

Almanac context is added to Saved Practice only when you explicitly Keep that Practice while the verified handoff is active. If kept, it remains read-only provenance beside that saved Practice until you remove the Practice or delete your account.

Field Scroll derives a view from material already associated with your account, which may include your Reading, Saved Practice, Returns and Current Season.

A returning crossing is identified from structural Field Scribe provenance. The service does not compare the similarity of your prose in order to manufacture recurrence.

If you deliberately use Field Scroll Recognition after confirming that a returning crossing feels close, the service may send the relevant saved moments, Field Scribe context and related evidence for that crossing to a language-model service to generate the Recognition response.

That Recognition operation does not write the generated Recognition back into your Saved Practice merely because it was generated or viewed.

Some Field Scribe features use third-party language-model services to generate or support reader-facing language.

Depending on the feature, the information sent may include calculated Field Scribe structure, relevant Reading material, words you submitted to an interactive Practice, or saved moments needed for a specific Field Scroll Recognition.

The service sends the context needed for the particular feature rather than treating your entire account as a general model prompt.

Use of a language-model service to answer a feature request does not mean The Field Scribe's founder, administrators or developers are reading your private material.

The Field Scribe records structural information about how the product is used so the service can be understood and improved.

Analytics may record events such as which product surface or action was used.

Reader-written Practice prose and generated Practice or Recognition text are not placed into analytics.

Standard product analytics are separate from the optional Help shape The Field Scribe permission.

Help shape The Field Scribe is an additional, optional permission for material you deliberately provide through designated feedback, research or evaluation experiences.

It is not blanket permission for The Field Scribe's founder, administrators or developers to browse your private Reading, Saved Practice or account history.

When you deliberately provide material for an approved research, feedback or evaluation purpose and this permission stands, that material may be reviewed and used to improve The Field Scribe and future offerings.

The permission is off unless you choose it. It is not required for access, purchase or Membership, and you can change it in Account settings.

It does not subscribe you to Email Updates, make private material public, or permit the sale of your personal information.

Standard aggregate and structural product analytics are handled separately.

Account, sign-in, security, receipt and support messages may be sent because they are needed to operate the service.

Optional Field Notes, editorial messages, research invitations, product updates or promotional email are sent according to the communication permission that applies to them.

Receiving complimentary or paid product access does not itself opt you into optional email.

The Field Scribe uses third-party providers to operate the service. These may include hosting and database infrastructure, authentication, payments, email delivery, analytics and language-model processing.

Those providers process information for the purposes needed to deliver their part of the service.

The Field Scribe does not sell personal information and does not share private account content for third-party advertising.

A Reading kept in an account is retained so the reader can return to it.

Saved Practice and Returns are retained with the account until removed through available product controls or account deletion.

Words submitted to an interactive feature may need to be processed to produce the immediate response even when the reader does not choose to save that interaction as Saved Practice.

A Reading created without an account may be retained temporarily so it can be claimed, then removed according to the applicable temporary-reading lifecycle.

Where available, you can delete your account through Account settings after the required identity confirmation.

Account deletion removes personal Reading, Practice and other account material that The Field Scribe is not required to retain.

Transaction records may be retained where required for accounting, tax, fraud-prevention or other legal obligations. Where implemented, identifying information may be removed from records that must remain.

If you had asked us not to email you, we keep a one-way reference derived from your email address — not the address itself — so that the request keeps being honoured after the account is gone. That reference cannot be read back as an email address.

Administrative accounts may require direct handling rather than self-service deletion.

Depending on the applicable feature, you can:

• change Email Updates preferences;
• change Help shape The Field Scribe participation;
• remove Saved Practice through the product;
• stop renewal of paid Membership;
• delete your account;
• ask for access to or correction of information held about you.

Stopping a paid Membership renewal is not the same as deleting the account or its personal material.

The Field Scribe uses technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the service to protect account information.

No online service can promise absolute security. Readers are also responsible for protecting their own sign-in credentials.

The Field Scribe may update this Privacy Policy as the service evolves.

When a material change is published, the version and effective date are updated and additional notice or acknowledgement may be used where appropriate.

A new feature does not silently create permission to make private Reading or Practice content public or to treat private account material as an observation feed.
