Terms of Use

The Field Scribe is a symbolic reading and reflection system. It uses the birth details you enter to calculate a Field Scribe structure and provides ways to read, explore and work with that structure through features including Reading, Practice, Current Season, Field Scroll and the Digital Field Atlas.

By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

The Field Scribe is offered for reflection and personal exploration. It is not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. It is not a diagnosis or a prediction and does not replace professional care or your own judgement.

The system can offer structure, language, questions and possibilities to examine. It cannot determine what is true in your life for you. You remain responsible for your decisions and actions.

An account lets you keep your Reading and use account-based features. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. Accounts are for individual use.

You may stop using the service at any time. Where self-service account deletion is available, you can delete your account from Account settings. Accounts with administrative responsibilities may require direct handling.

A Full Reading is attached to a specific Reading. A purchased Full Reading is a one-time purchase and remains yours independently of Membership.

Buying or receiving a Full Reading for one Reading does not automatically unlock another Reading unless the product explicitly says otherwise.

Payment is handled by our payment provider. Card details are not held by The Field Scribe.

If something goes wrong with a purchase, contact us and we will review it under the applicable purchase and refund policy.

Membership is an optional ongoing layer of The Field Scribe and may be complimentary, included with another offering, or paid.

Complimentary or included Membership does not by itself create a paid subscription, require a card or create an automatic renewal.

A paid Membership subscription requires a separate choice and the billing terms shown at the time of purchase.

If paid Membership is set not to renew, that does not shorten access that has already been paid for or otherwise validly included.

If Membership ends, your purchased Full Reading does not disappear. Personal material retained under the service's normal account and deletion rules is not deleted merely because Membership lapses.

Practice is a reflective space for working with something you are living now. What you deliberately save in Practice can remain with your account so you can return to it.

Returns let you record what you notice when you come back to a Practice.

Field Scroll draws from material already associated with your account, including your Reading, Saved Practice, Returns and, where relevant, Current Season.

When Field Scroll identifies a returning crossing, that recurrence is based on structural Field Scribe provenance, not similarity between passages of your writing.

Some interactive Practice and Field Scroll features may use language-model services to help generate a response or articulate a recognition. Those features do not change the underlying deterministic Field Scribe structure.

Material you provide to The Field Scribe remains yours.

You give The Field Scribe the permission necessary to process that material to provide, maintain, secure and support the service and to carry out any additional permission you separately choose.

Private account content is not made public merely because you use the service.

The Field Scribe system, including its structure, canonical language, Seals, Roots, Bridges, postures, calculation methods, visual material and written material, belongs to The Field Scribe or its applicable rights holders.

You may keep, read and print your own Reading and personal material for personal use.

Do not resell, republish as your own, systematically reproduce, reverse-engineer for a competing system, or commercially exploit protected Field Scribe material without permission.

Optional permissions are separate from these Terms.

These include Email Updates and Help shape The Field Scribe.

Neither is required to create an account, receive a Reading, purchase a Full Reading, hold Membership, or use an otherwise available feature.

Agreeing to the Terms is not agreement to either optional permission.

Messages required to operate the service, such as authentication, security, receipts, account notices and support responses, are service communications.

Optional Field Notes, editorial messages, research invitations, product updates or promotional messages are governed by their applicable communication choice.

Automatic access to a product or Membership does not itself create communication consent.

The Field Scribe is an evolving service. Features may change and the service may occasionally be unavailable.

Product changes may alter presentation or available features, but they do not take away a Full Reading you already purchased.

We may update these Terms. When we do, the published version and effective date will change. Any additional acknowledgement requirement will be handled separately where appropriate.

The service is provided as it is. To the extent permitted by law, The Field Scribe is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service or from decisions made in response to a Reading or reflective feature.
